The Floating Markets

The Floating Markets of Damnoen Saduak are the biggest draw of the city and, though they’ve become something of an overpriced tourist trap, they’re still a must-see for anyone visiting Thailand. A tour guide will ferry you down through the small boats lining the harbor while locals try to sell you different spices and handmade crafts for triple what they’d normally charge. Don’t feel compelled to buy anything, just go and enjoy the experience and see how Bangkok used to function back in the days when motorbikes and tuk tuks were nonexistent.
