Learn to Negotiate
Cubans will spot a tourist a mile away and will take every opportunity to try to sell you something. In some cases, this could turn out to be a bargain, such as in the case of private taxis, as long as you agree on a price before you get in. But if you’re not careful, you’ll end up buying counterfeit money, rotten cigars or another worthless item from a random seller on the street.
So before you shell out any cash, inspect whatever you’re buying carefully and agree on a price or walk away if you can’t reach an agreement.
