Cartagena, Colombia
The seaside town of Cartagena, on Colombia’s northern coastline, has enough charm and magic to keep you entranced for days. From the historic, colonial plaza of Centro Histórico to the revitalization of Getsemani, Cartagena is a city with a lot to offer. Having undergone somewhat of a rejuvenation in recent years, the city has become a great destination that is cheaper than its neighbor to the south, Bogota. Be sure to check out the fortress of San Felipe when you go.
